Welcome to Smiling Loon Restaurant & Bar!

 Hello, Looners! Starting today, January 7, we're taking a break while we work in some creative ideas for the Spring/Summer season. We opened back in June and immediately felt the love of the Island Lake community, who embraced our concept of casual American food. We also brought back the classic style Drive In with our Jack Frosty Drive In. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our story so far, we're excited for more surprises to come! At Smiling Loon Restaurant & Bar, we offer elevated casual American dishes and daily specials, with a commitment to quality and flavor, while providing a fun and welcoming space for the community to gather.


 Whether you're seeking a great burger and a drink after work, a celebratory lunch with friends, a place to watch sports,  or a fun family outing, we provide the perfect backdrop for creating lasting memories. And if you're planning something special, reserve the Loon's Nest, our space for private events!

Our Menu

We cook from scratch with fresh ingredients, and offer a unique blend of casual comfort and elevated American cuisine. From burguers and sanwiches to pastas and salads, along with daily specials, we put a twist to some classics with deliciousness in mind. You'll find your new favorites here!
